Latest News

Funeral arrangements for Alan are as follows :-

Tuesday 13th March at 1.45pm at Worcester Crematorium and afterwards at Pershore Bowling Club from 3.00pm.

 Some sad news

We have been informed that Alan Holyoakes has died suddenly while on holiday in Malta.

Alan was one of the class of 2016 and although a relatively new bowler he took to the sport and was a regular bowler last year in many teams. He has also been a regular indoor, short mat bowler on a Wednesday afternoon.

At the moment there is no information about the funeral. Further info will be posted here when available.

Our thoughts are with his family in particular Barbara his wife.

I have produced a book for Pershore Bowling Club

It contains lots of both old and new photos of members past and present and extracts from all the old committee minute books from the 1940's to date - well worth a read!!

I have researched Abbey House where our club started in 1928, playing on one of the house lawns, there are also pictures of the house both inside & out.

Also included are lists of the officers of the club, honours and competition winners.

I hope to offer the book for sale and have a copy for you to look at and order if you wish.
